I have to admit, I'm starting to be a little stressed out that ECAS still says "Application Received" even though they requested my passport and a copy of my husband's latest paystub on 4/17. I'm thinking about ordering my case notes. Exactly how do I go about doing that and how long does it take to get them?

Honestly I wouldn't stress about it too much. I got PPR on 4/17 as well. ECAS is notorious for not being updated properly. Some people didn't even get a status change before they received their COPR. I would wait a few weeks before getting too concerned.

Wow! We applied almost the exact same time. Where are you headed when you get your COPR, or are you already in Canada?

I'm in the Toronto area. My husband is from Seattle. Most likely staying in this area for a year or so, and then hopefully settling down in vancouver. How about you?

Hi everyone! Had a question on the b4A form "goods to follow" list. If i list 10 things on it, am i allowed to bring each item into canada piece meal on future trips? Or does it have to be in one shot?? Thanks! Crossing border with my husband tonight as he's finally landing with his COPR. So any response in the next little while would be much appreciated!!!

As long as you have that form with you each time then you can bring it in one piece at a time. Just tell the border officer you are importing goods and you will have to go into the office and they will check it and then sign that you brought that item through. It is a bigger hassle for you to do it that way because you have to stop either time but you can have as long as you want to bring your goods through as long as you have the goods to follow list with you. I am new to this forum. I have a quick question. I have sent a copy of my passport along with my application back in October. I am a US citizen and my husband is a Canadian citizen and we applied outland.
Would they still ask for a copy of my passport?

My office is ottawa and my application and medical has been received on October 17th of 2013.

The lawyer mailed it on October 12th.

From what I've been seeing some people are getting by without getting a request for a scanned image of their passport - it's going straight to DM and COPR for them. Others though, have been asked to send in a copy of their passport, so really, it's up to the officer working on your file I guess!

So its been 6 months since they received my application. Should I give it another 2 months before I hear anything from them?

It will be 10 months for me next week since the first stage sponsorship approval. I'm not an American citizen, that might be the reason mine takes longer. But there are American applicants here who have been waiting for 8 or 9 months now.

The current statistics indicate that 20% of Ottawa (spouse)cases takes 7 months, 30% 7months, 50% 9 months, 70% 12 months, 80% 15 months.
