My wife has the same case officer as you! I found this person to be fairly responsive with replying to e-mails. I also got a similar message when i asked if he/she got everything ok.

ALLY06 - what is your eCAS status? My wife is still suck at "Application Received". I'm hoping the officer is good at responding to e-mails but doesn't update eCAS as much (meaning my progress is much further along than "Application Received").

My ecas still says in process with medicals received but my papers were mailed out on the 8th

Hi guys,

when they request passport , is that the passport for the sponsored spouse? Since the sponsored spouse is in Lebanon, why don't they request it down there. I dont get how this. I am guessing, I will get an email that will request the passport and my husnad in Lebanon will have to send it to Beirut not Ottawa? could you guys confirm? I am really looking forward that they request this passport already inshallah. I have been having dreams about this process. :(

Thanks guys and good luck to all.

It will be for the person being sponsored (sponsored spouse). Now whether you need to send in the physical passport or just a copy will depend on if the passport is from a visa exempt country. I'm not sure where the physical passport needs to get mailed. Hopefully others with more experience about sponsoring someone from lebanon can comment.

Thanks. I'm hoping my wife's case is similar too. She's been on "Application Received" for a month since PPR. Hopefully it is just a slow eCAS update and we are nearing the end too.

I hope you are too Kessio my fingers are crossed for you

Ours is in process, received PPR (with additional document request) on June 12, 2013 - but ecas still says "Application Received." So, we know they aren't very good at updating statuses and I wouldn't put too much stock into what ecas says at all.

So in about six weeks, I'm flying down to Florida to do the drive here with my hubby so he can land.
I am flying out of Buffalo airport, so I have to cross the border. What should I bring with me to show the customs officer at the border?

The main objective of US border control is to keep out people who intend to stay without the proper visa for remaining in the country. So along with your passport and tickets, bring a copy of your husband's COPR to provide evidence of your plan of going there, helping him move, and leaving the US.

Waiting for the mail everyday is driving me insane lol

So should I get him to scan and email me a copy of that?

Yes that would probably be the fastest way to do it

And definitely do bring this, because a foreigner visiting a US spouse is a red flag. Not likely that you'd be stopped, but with a one-way ticket you never know. The COPR should end the inquiry if they ask lots of questions.

I would take proof of a home and job in Canada as well, if you can. Showing you own a home helps convince most border patrol you have something to return to.

How funny! Lets hope he/she doesn't have many more on their plate so they can get crackin' on ours! My eCAS still says Application Received as well...I check it ALL the time but I think you are right that our officer doesn't update eCAS much. I would think you should hear/see something any day now!

I e-mailed Ottawa to see if they received my FBI clearance/passport on August 8th and received a response today:

Hi,

We have received the documents listed below.

Thanks.

Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa | Centre de Traitement Pilote – Ottawa -SB01716

This was the second e-mail from "SB01716" so I assume this is my case officer! Nice to get a response even though I didn't get any further info about my timeline/COPR. Oh well, Ill take it :)

My last contact was signed as this:

Case Processing Pilot - Ottawa | Centre de Traitement Pilote – Ottawa -WC5183

I am assuming WC5183......but this was about change in my address way back in April, long before I should have started processing. Hmmmmmm Now I'm curious!!
