Thanks for the help. I think I messed up though. I am living here in Canada but considering myself a "visitor" since I am from the USA. I requested the notes for myself but didn't provide proof that I am living here. I don't know if they will process it. I should have ordered them through my wife's name but I didn't. Ugh!!

I just stalked your profile and saw you're from Pennsylvania - we're in Philadelphia (though not for long we hope!).

I just ordered mine too. We've been waiting 48 days since PPR documents sent and still Application Received status as well. And VO will not email back to let us know they got the documents. And for my own curiosity! ;)

I'm going to order mine after we move to satisfy my own curiosity. I shall share results :P

CONGRATS AMIKETY!! Best birthday gift EVER ;D

Sounds grumpy. Got it!

Sorry, I know it sounded grumpy, but I couldn't figure out how else to say it. You could say "nope," which would be less formal and a bit more folksy!

Wow, I'm sure I'm late to notice this because I was on vacation last week, but the processing times for Ottawa have gone to 14 months, NY is at 18 months, and LA at 22 months. Crazy.

Really a pretty terrible result for the "reform" of closing Buffalo. It would have made a lot more sense to open Ottawa and close Buffalo only after the backlog was taken care of.

Sense and CIC do NOT go together! Come on, you know that! :P

Congratualtions Amikety for COPR and happy birthday :)

Really bad news on the processing times. I just checked that yesterday and it was 12 months and today it is 14 :(

It's okay. I couldn't have been any more grumpy than the CBSA agent that did my landing. The US border patrol was all smiles and jokes - he even let my husband enter the USA without asking any questions or stamping his passport :O

We drove to Carway. Got a little lost (missed a turn) and got to explore the countryside some too.

It's all done! I am landed :D Thanks to everyone for their well wishes & birthday wishes :D

Hi :)
Quick update: my husband landed August 3rd!
Happy to be finally together :D

Wishing everyone a speedy process! & congratz to everyone who has finished the long and annoying process! ;)

Does anybody here act as the representative for their sponsored spouse ? Did you have luck getting CIC to answer your emails ?or at least acknowledge receipt of any update note you send ?....
I include all sponsored info and my info in the email as instructed but yet no response. I wonder is it because it is not the main applicant.

When my husband called the call centre (a hopeless attempt at information) they told him the reason they may not be replying is because he is the sponsor and not the applicant, so I sent an email instead. They responded a couple days later. It's worth a try I suppose.
