So I just had to call my attorney and prod them because they never sent the email with instructions to pay the Fed-Ex fee...

I think she's just trying to cover herself, but she went "Oh! I'm going to resend it to you right away. Call me if you haven't gotten it in fifteen minutes."

I would NOT recommend this firm to anyone. They are not competent in my opinion.

Maybe you could tell us which one... right after your COPR arrives!

LOL
I completely intend to!

We just checked our status online and it states the decision has been made on July 12, medical exam received, and that they will be in contact with us in regards to their decision. There was no PPR (I'm american, so no necessary). I was curious how long (roughly) it takes to receive the 'letter' from CPP-O to a US address with their approval/rejection?

Stressing mildly...eek!

Ok thank you Ivan. I hope to have PPR soon. I'm checking my email minimum 3 times per day.

Most Americans still get PPR.

I'm assuming you've already had sponsor approval? Decision Made for the applicant usually updates after mailing of the COPR. Mailing to the USA takes 10-14 days usually.

Spoke to my attorney! They have my COPR! It's going to be Fed-Exed to me as soon as we pay the courier fees, which we will be doing today!

Congrats!

My hubby got PPR still and he's American

Still no address change on ECAS and still no COPR

Random and slightly unrelated, but one of the January applicants through London got COPR without PPR, so it's now confirmed (for me) that other VOs may also skip PPR.

Hello everyone, I started my application in December and sent it in on the 8th December last year to Mississauga. My wife got the SA from Mississauga on feb 14 and still haven't heard anything since. I called the centre and they told me my application is in Ottawa and they do not have any information on my file because it is an outside Canada application. They said it could take 14months so I shouldn't look to hear anything from Ottawa till feb next year. Has anyone done this similar process? Does it really take that long? :( I was kinda hoping to get PPR this month but I guess not:(

I am a December applicant too and I had the same issue when trying to find out about my husband application through the cic call centre. They said the only way to communicate to the visa office was through email. They were not very responsive at the beginning but after a few emails they did get back to us. Hopefully it won't be too much longer for you :).

My husband's COPR was mailed on July 8 so now we just waiting for the mail and then it is all over :)

Yes, we received sponsor approval in January 2013 from the Mississauga office, then our case was sent over to CPP-O. It could (I'm hoping) be that a PPR wasn't sent because we had recently sent in a copy of my new passport (with married name, opposed to the copy of my passport with my maiden name we sent in when we applied in December 2012). I've had Canadian visa's before...so I can only pray that it'll be alright. Thanks for your input!! :)

Also, just found Operational Bulletin 348 - December 1, 2011 on the CIC website "Summary Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) will no longer issue a counterfoil to applicants approved for permanent residence from visa-exempt countries. All approved applicants will continue to be issued a Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR) document."...I'm hoping that it's all good then...

Yes, those counterfoil papers are expensive!

I sent in a high quality, color copy of my PP and still had PPR. GRR! :D

Oh well, at least I got the fun of tackling my husband and shoving my phone in his face.

Has your address is ECAS changed? My hubby's COPR was sent the same day as yours....
Where is his going?

Got our GCMS notes today. Interesting.

Compared them with the last set of notes, and it appears we have a new visa officer. I don't know why the visa officer who was previously processing the file is out of the picture. Perhaps fired, or quit, or sick, or dead... oh, who am I kidding, probably promoted. Anyhow, there's a new officer "name" recording incoming files and emails for our case, and that new officer requested my file from "reg" on June 4 and on June 13 noted that he/she was still waiting for the file.

I can't even let myself be hopeful that this will end soon.
