Speaking of the post, since I live in the States, it could take 2 weeks or more for me to receive mine when the time comes. Didn't I see something about providing them with something to speed it up, some sort of shipping envelope or such?

Yes, send a self addressed, postage paid, express envelope with it to be sent back in :)

Just wanted to stop in and say my landing went smoothly on Friday the 17th. Spent the day in Seattle and the border was a breeze. On the Way into the U.S. I waited in a line with only two cars in front of me and one on the way back in. I spent a total of maybe 25 minutes exiting and entering Canada. Still almost unable to believe I am in the middle of a job search.

:D :D :D

Glad you finally got the COPR! Did you see any change in ECAS at any point, and if so, when? We're at the same point you were when you got COPR (79 days since our PPR - 71 since they actually received our passports, photos, and other documentation).

At least our notes should arrive soon - we ordered those 27 days ago, and at least now that we've leased an apartment we have an MP that we can complain to. And in fact I think I'll do that right now!

The wait and silence are wearing me down.

ECAS showed "Decision Made" on May 9 but not 2 days before that which was a Tuesday and I had checked.

Thanks. Hopefully ours will finally change soon...

I'm sure you will be hearing soon. Stay positive.

Thanks for the info, Parker! Grats to those getting some resolution. I'm really about to go crazy now that I know I'm within the window of a decision, so, Ivan, I really get what you're saying about the insanity. Since I'm filing from outside, I'm really anxious to "make house" with my husband! Our one year wedding anniversary is on July 6th, it's time!

GOOOOOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!

After receiving PPR last week, I logged into Ecas this morning and noticed that my Canadian address was added to my US address in Ecas. Could this *possibly* be a good sign that COPR *might* be on its way? The chance of address only shows the city and province but no street address....is that standard? Thanks for your help :)

When you phrase your question that way, the answer is yes. Whether it actually is a good sign is anyone's guess! But hopefully yes.

Haha! Thanks IvanP! I think I'm looking for ANY good thing to smile about as it relates to this process. I had received my PPR last week and sent a CSE to CPP-O yesterday and noticed the change this morning. But, I'll take this little change! We applied in 2011 so the littlest amount of movement is exciting for me. I'll keep my fingers and toes crossed! Thanks, again, for your help!!

That's ridiculously long - hope you get your COPR soon!

Hi all,

I just wanted to pass along my wait time info. Forgive me if this isn't the right spot to do it, I'm afraid I'm not very active on this forum.

My husband's application was received on August 3rd in Mississauga. On October 18th, I got my sponsorship approval and our app was sent to CPP-Ottawa. Sometime at the end of February/beginning of March the app was listed as "in process". April 26th, hubby received a SECOND (we have no idea what happened to the first one... he claims he never got it) request for scans of his passport. A few days after that our app was listed as "decision made" online and on May 13 whatever they send after you've been approved showed up at his address in the US. He is here in Canada with me so it's been forwarded to us and we have yet to receive it but obviously that has nothing to do with the processing time.

I should mention that our case is pretty straightforward. Our only possible "red flag" would have been our 16 year age difference. We also didn't have a GIANT application... I put in what I would look for if I were them, with a note saying I would be happy to send more "proof" upon request. I don't know if that made any difference either way.

All in all, it took... 283 days? A little under 9 and a half months. And it would have been sooner if we had gotten/responded to the first passport request.

Hopefully someone will find this info helpful. Good luck to all!!!

Congratulations! I've added your timeline to the CPP-Ottawa spreadsheet. Good luck with your landing!

kandc, I would say that's a pretty good timeline for "missing" the first PPR. I'd be happy with it. Anything under Ottawa's published times and I'll think I won the lottery.

Speaking of lottery, I almost won $11 mil last night. My ticket was literally 1 digit off. Mine was 02 and the winning number was 01. The rest of mine match. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!

That'll probably be my best shot at glory. :'(

There's no second prize for matching most of them? Bummer.
