application filed 24 feb,2012 medical done may 4,2012. Yesterday I saw the status they said they have started working on my application on 12th of April 2013. Now what does this mean. My medical has already expired what should I do???? :(

Do nothing until the VO contacts you.

In my case are they going to ask medicals again??? Now they have started working on my applicaltion. :o

They might. If you're in a position to spend the money to get new medicals, then by all means go for it. If you'd rather save the $250-500, wait. IF they need them, they will ask you to re-do them. At this point I'd be surprised if they don't ask to extend them, but there's no guarantee.

Anyone know how long it actually takes to receive GCMS notes after you've ordered them?

30 days. I've ordered them many times and twice I received them in something other than 30 days. Once was 75 days (I ordered a physical file copy) and once was ~20 days. In most cases, the notes have been 28-30 days old - so they pulled them when they got my request and then spent a month sitting on them before sending them along to me. I suspect - but do not know - that they do this so they do not reveal information to you that has not yet been communicated to you from the visa office.

The 30 day response time frame is a statutory requirement.

I've been reading from others about the necessity to send all pages of the passport to them. I didn't do that originally, but I'm in such dire straits here that I was going to scan everything and email it. I am now on the edge of the window of CIC's review. If so, where do I email it, and would it be kosher to indicate that my lease is ending at the end of June and that any consideration would be appreciated?

They often only ask for the bio data page, or sometimes that plus pages with any content. Don't overthink things too much - they'll ask for more if they need it.

You can ASK, but I seriously doubt it's going to make much difference...

Hey all well its nearly over for me too! Tomorrow we go to Montana for a long weekend of shopping, and, on the way back I'll be landing.

Thanks so much for everything - I don't anicipate any issues at all but I'll let y'all know when it's a done deal ;)

Just wanted to report that COPR finally received today by our consultant. We will be visiting them tomorrow to pick up the document and go through the details of landing and completing the B4 and B4a forms. We will do the landing later this month.
Could the spreadsheet be updated please and thank you ;D

Indeed! CPC-O has been known to request that the bio page be resent to them separately (even if everything else has been sent together) so keeping it simple is best unless specifically asked.

Got a question for you guys.

My ECas still says Appication Received, and my sponsor was approved in Feb. I decided to email Ottawa because my meds expire tomorrow and my visitor extension expires in 4 days (I reapplied though for that). I got a response to today...

Is this a generic, we've got it don't worry about it, situation.... or is my application actually "In Process" status and the ECas just hasn't updated? I'm so anxious to know!!

If it is "In Process", what does that generally mean about my application?

Either way, the table can be updated to show AOR from Visa Office at least since they did respond about my app.

In process generally means they are looking at the application and you should expect to receive PPR (or a request for more documentation, if you're unlucky) in the next few days. Generally...
