wish tgat was true, my application went in process March 7th nothing yet

In my experience, "In Process" means a visa officer looked at your file. They may have ordered security checks (which can be instantaneous - as they were for me - or they can take a LONG time - in some cases over a year). Security check times can depend very much upon the country from which you came and your bio data (name and date of birth).

SO I am confused, I have not had ecas update at all since I submitted my application. Should I or shouldn't I contact them? It will be 2 months on the 15th of May. Should I be concerned or not that it still says my application was received on February 15th????

???

When was the last time you emailed them? If it hasn't been too long then I'd hold off. I can understand though because I would go crazy too. You could wait until Monday if you do that. By tomorrow or Friday all the emails might just get lost in cyberspace ::)

If it's only been two months, there's nothing for them to tell you. Odds are your application won't actually hit the top of the pile for a VO to review for at least 4 months.

So you are saying it is completely normal for my ecas to not say medicals received or any other update at this point? I see so many other with some update in ecas and mine still says what it did when I first was put in the system, "your application was received on February 15, 2013." I don't want to panic and jump the gun but I'm not sure what the norm is with CPP-O.

Completely normal. If you are concerned, start ordering your GCMS notes. I did it every 5 weeks throughout the process (but I had reason not to trust CIC at that point). You'll be able to confirm they have your file and it's just waiting for some TLC from the VO.

Thanks!! How do I order the notes?

You can do it online or in writing. If you are in Canada, there is no charge for ordering your own notes ("privacy act"). If you are not in Canada, someone in Canada must order them on your behalf and there is a $5 charge ("access to information")

Thanks!! I am not living there yet but will be moving in the next 2 months. I will order them now and again after I move up.

As the sponsor can you apply to get the notes of the person you are sponsoring?? would that be on his behalf as access of information if the person is not in Canada? or do I apply under my name under privacy act?

Thanks I'm thinking of also ordering the notes...

You're probably going to get asked to submit a new medical.

Medicals can be extended for 12 months if requested within 15 months of the original date they were done. Note it is the visa office that requests this extension.

So as long as they ask for your medicals to be extended by August 3, 2012 you won't need to do new medicals.

Of course you CAN go get new medicals done, in which case they'll use them instead.
