My passport arrived to Ottawa last Friday, I have already bought my flight ticket for landing on May 22nd, what should I do now?

This is getting me worried. We got really excited when we got our PPR and figured since they had no special requests or anything like that we could start planning Mr. bacontoaster's landing. We booked him a flight for May 30th which is going to be 9 weeks after our PPR. I thought this was going to be enough time to get his CoPR but maybe not....At least he hasn't quit his job yet.

I have a question: if they conduct an interview, does that mean I have to fly to Ottawa? Or will it take place in Beirut?

The answer is no. The interview, if required, will be held in a VO in your country. If your wife is a US citizen then I wouldn't worry about an interview, they are very rare unless your case is complicated.

If her student status in the US is under a Student Visa and her application was sent to Ottawa (and it will probably remain there), she will have an interview in the US if required.

If your wife's file was sent to Ottawa, it means that her application was deemed as to be processed as as she were a US resident and therefore, if she were called for an interview, she will have it in the US (unless dramatically her case file is transferred to her home country at a later time).

Although it most commonly serves that purpose, Ottawa is not a VO exclusively for US citizens. It is a VO for residents in the US, for US citizens living abroad and that have applied outland, or for US citizens that CPC-M has determined that they do not meet the residency requirement of the country in which they live. It is also possible that CPC-M will accommodate a request to have a US Citizen's case processed by Ottawa while such US citizen lives in a country other than the US or Canada, but I have not noticed a case like that on here yet. Has anyone?

So, if a US citizen is living in London, for example, their case will not go to Ottawa, it will go to the London VO as long as CPC-M deems that applicant a resident of England; otherwise their case will be sent to Ottawa.

Also, any non-US citizen deemed by CPC-M as a resident of the US (regardless of legal status), will have their case sent to Ottawa (and so it will be notified on the sposorship approval's AOR).

her first application was refused, for reason we didnt see each other for a wile ( 1 year ) and they dont trust in our relation.
so we choose volontary to not make an appeal, because its will be to long
the first application was to VO buffalo and after was transfered to LA for an entreview, and was refused there

so we introduced again the application , for that second application the choose LA, bu the decide Ottawa VO for us.
that why i was wondering about the question , if they will transfered her file to a VO in US or She will have to came at Ottawa

I'm a Lebanese citizen residing in Lebanon, but spending the summers with my husband in Canada. My file was sent to CPP-Ottawa. Is that because the Beirut office is overwhelmed? Or is it because we spend 4 months every summer in Canada?

I would guess it's because Beirut is overwhelmed. Hopefully it will mean that your processing will be faster.

CPP-O is a pilot office. That means that it may take overload from other offices, among other things. Also, CIC seems to be closing many offices (Buffalo closed and everything was sent to CPP-O), so it is not really a surprised that your file is in Ottawa; however, your file may be finalized by Beirut (who knows!). What I mean to say was that CPP-O is not just for US citizens, as some believe.

So what comes next after sponsor approval? (besides hurry up and wait!!) We received SA a little over a month ago. Am I supposed to get an AOR email from Ottawa?
Now that sponsor approval is done, do I still check my application status at ECAS using "sponsorship"?
