We received a follow up email today from CPP-O requesting a set of original fingerprints from the RCMP as well as the copy of the passport. We have a problem since we are in Florida and obviously can't get to an office in Canada that does the fingerprints. Any suggestions on how to get this done would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks all.

They requested these after your PPR?? Or did they ask for them along with the passport copy? Just curious...

I'm getting a little concerned. I hope they dont make me redo my police records as they were close to expire.

ARGGG I hate ECAS!!! Apparently our sponsorship application is in process now even though we received PPR on Jan. 29th. I wish they would just take ECAS down, it's just useless. All it does is confuse us and stress us out!

If I had to guess, I think that means they are printing (or recently finished printing) your COPR, which should be a good thing.

But agree that ECAS doesn't seem to be anyone's friend.

This came in a separate follow up email today. The original PPR email came on Tuesday. This second email added the request for the fingerprints to the original request for the passport.

Thanks IvanP, I'll take that theory and run with it!! Fingers crossed!!

Woah....speedy!

There was a crazy moment in november/december when sponsorship approvals were coming in about 7-10 days. Then the holidays happened. Either way, Mississauga is kicking ass.

Ever wonder how many people work in the Ottawa office? It feels like everything is so secretive, not one of them is on LinkedIn ;)

I am a bit confused and curious.... They requested a COPY of my Passport and 4 passport sized photos, does that mean those photos are for my PR card? I sent them off, what is the next thing that will happen and the time frame?

Yes, you're in the final stretch - they'll print a COPR for you and you'll get it in another 11-60 days, based on the spreadsheet. Then they'll mail you the PR card after you land.
