congratulations !!!

Since you've passed all the steps, I have a quick question to you or other members of this room:

I sponsored my parents from Montreal, QC; my parents who live in MI, USA, would you please analyze my case ...

1ST STAGE - SPONSORSHIP APPLICATION STATUS
"DATE APPLIED": 19-Dec-08
AOR: 4-Apr-12
"SPONSOR APP E-CAS STATUS": DECISION MADE
"SPONSOR APP DECISION": APPROVED

2ND STAGE- PERMANENT RESIDENCE APPLICATION PROGRESS AND STATUS DETAILS
"MEDICAL DONE": 15-July12 (But till today not update on cic.gc.ca online service)
Police Clearances Certificate send in Jun-12
Request for CSQ (Quebec Selection Certificate): 20-Oct-12 (received this request from CPP-O)
CSQ Send: 10-Nov-12

on online (E-CAS STATUS) showing only in "Permanent Residence" : We received "Parent's Name" your application for permanent residence on December 19, 2008.

Please help me to guess:
1) When I will able to see "In Process" on the E-CAS STATUS.
2) When I will able to see "Medical Result received" on the E-CAS STATUS.
3) When they will ask for PPR for my parents.
4) What is their LVO, is it LA, California or CPP-O? (application was sent to Buffalo New York).

waiting for your early response

Thanks

We will be landing this weekend, taking Friday off work to go to the states =)

mameelynn -- We are in Canada (sponsor/sponsoree live together), the date on the COPR was Feb 9th, and we have to land by May 2013

That's great news! Congrats!!

Thanks all!

comecome - Parent sponsorship is different from spousal, so I can't answer most of your questions, but regarding E-CAS:
E-cas is extremely unpredictable. Some people have reported it going from "In Process" to "Decision Made" and back to "In Process"!
In fact, my e-cas currently says that our "stage 1" is "In Process" even though it was approved months ago.

In sum: Do not trust E-cas

The person BEING sponsored.
In our case, my husband was here on a student visa, they mailed it to us in Canada.

So if I'm in Canada on an extended visitor visa they'll send it to Canada? I think someone answered this question for me before but I forget the answer.

Either way, I put my mailing address as ours here in Canada so I think it would still come here anyway, I hope haha

I think the way to check is to put in the UCI for the person being sponsored (if they have one), whatever the mailing address says on ECAS is likely where it will be sent.

I will have to try logging in with my UCI then, I've always just used my wifes UCI. I forgot I got one when I extended my visa.

Thanks for the tip! =)

I provided them with a pre-paid USPS Express Mail envelope and had them send it to my company's US HQ (they forwarded it via FedEx to me in Canada). So they'll send it wherever you want (in the US) if you're providing the mailer...
