I'm curious about the applicants on the spreadsheet from May and earlier who have not yet reported any movement by CIC on the spreadsheet. Are they still waiting or have they just received their COPRs and moved on?

I was wondering the same thing because it's so exciting when I see movement with the May and June (I'm July) applicants but then I look at the ones above and nothing's changed for months. :o

If they see these posts, they can always PM me (IvanP) or Shylox with updates and we'll make sure the spreadsheet is accurate and up-to-date - we're both pretty quick about getting the changes posted.

For my fellow American applicants...
This might be too early to say but it seems that they started looking at June.

I have been hoping to hear this soon!

I'm thinking the same, though I got a PM from a May applicant this morning who got their PPR.

Got a reply from Ottawa stating that they need proof that I(sponsor) live and work in Ontario now. I made the move beginning of Jan. Any opinions of what I should send. I have a letter from work saying I am working there, I have my bank account info. I have no pay stubs yet. or T4's since 2010.

Received a similar email today stating my Canadian Citizen husband sponsor needs to show more proof of residency, We will be sending pay stubs, bank statements, T4 from last year. some of our utility bills have a US address as they were being sent to me to pay, but the service was in Canada. what else can we send to establish residency. The email says Driver's license property tax assessments and SSI cards are insufficient.
Not happy tonight Sad

The letter from work is a really good idea - include the business card of whoever wrote it. Did you get (or can you get) confirmation from the utility companies that you set up the utilities for your new address (or changed billing address)? If any of your bank accounts are new can you get a letter from the bank indicating that? If you were leasing your home, can you show the lease has ended? Think through your day - who sees you regularly or knows you've moved back - gym memberships? Do you have credit/debit card paystubs for things you've paid that would require you to be in Canada (e.g., groceries, gas, Tim Hortons)? Have you signed up for health care now that you're back?

Also, if you haven't changed your address with CIC yet, consider doing so to give added weight to the change.

HOORAY!

I landed today! Details are in the May thread, but we had no problems. We flag poled at the Coutts border crossing.

My dependent will be flying to Calgary to land on Saturday and then returning to the states on Sunday. She may have a tough time, keep your fingers crossed for her.

What a relief.

REQUEST FOR DOCUMENTS AND PASSPORT COPIES

Dear X:

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada as a member of the family class. We have now completed the initial assessment of your application, and expect to finalize your application without a personal interview. While an interview does not appear necessary at this time, we reserve the right to call you to an interview, should this become necessary at some future stage in processing.

All right! Finally some good news...no interview needed, guess we're on the home stretch now! E-cas still hasn't changed.

They want a scanned image of the passport along with "information/details as to your intent to reside permanently in Canada" - so what's that, just a statement of where she'll live?

So they want the following -

• COPY OR SCANNED IMAGE of your passport and passports of your accompanying family members, as noted below.
• Please provide information/ details as to your intent to reside permanently in Canada

They also say that "If no original documents have been requested, you may submit copies of your documents by mail, by fax, or as scanned images attached to an email to CPP-O at the contact information noted below" - I'm assuming we're in this category, and replying to the email with a high-quality JPG of the passport scan and a PDF with her intention to reside permanently should suffice! (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

Nothing but silence from CIC for almost 6 months so needless to say we're pretty happy today.
