Hi there. They received my application on March 9, I got AOR1 on April 2 and today I got SA. In the email it said it was sent to Ottawa. I was wondering what the average timeline is. I thought our application was going to London but it went to Ottawa instead. Is there a 2016 spreadsheet?
I don't know about the 2016 spreadsheet, but from the 2015 spreadsheet I estimated that it was about 151 days between SA and DM ranging from 46 to 248 days.

I requested my notes on Thursday. Hoping to have decision made by the time they actually arrive.
I'm a Nov 2nd applicant and my RPRF was requested on March 13th. Still no DM or updates. I'm not sure what they're doing.

If this forum is anything to go by, a tiny sample size none the less, I'd say theres a decent chance that if you're in Canada with valid status when you apply that it goes to Ottawa.
Mine went to Mississauga - even though my wife is here on a valid visitor status. We still used her address in Warsaw in the application.

Hi all,

I am a May 2015 applicant who is STILL waiting for DM because we hired the wrong lawyer...He advised us not to get FBI done until they asked for it, which they of course did, in Dec 2015. Due to the huge processing times, we JUST sent in the results to CIC. Two days ago, I confirmed with their office that they have everything they need from us but still no DM. Anybody have any guesses as to how much longer this will take? I just really hope that our file has not gone back to the bottom of the pile...

What is your country of citizenship? Yes waiting since May is quite a long time if you are from the US. Have you ordered notes? Damn I wish there was some recourse when you get a lawyer that doesn't know what he's talking about.

My common-law partner is a US resident, citizen of Dominican Republic. I realize we have been delayed because our file was not complete (due to our lawyer's incompetence), but now that it finally is, we are starting to get very anxious! No, we have not ordered notes. Should we?

unfortunately, us residents don't always see the same processing time as us citizens. since cic still has to confirm details from the country of citizenship, i suspect this is the reason for most delays as some countries do not respond to requests in a timely manner and don't have the same information sharing rules that the us and canada have with each other.

Besides that, i would assume the lack competence from your lawyer and the fact you JUST submitted the required documents (at no fault of your own) also contributed it it. I would imagine you'll start seeing a quicker processing now that the file is complete.

ordering your notes will help determine whether there are any concerns about your relationship and it might tell you what other factors may have led to the delays.

Thank you CDNPR2014! That makes sense. We sent police clearance from DR as well, so hopefully that will help to further expedite things. thanks again

May 20th Applicant. Got DM on wednesday. Delighted, it's almost over. How long does it usually take for the COPR to arrive??

Hey guys, my Application got sent to Ottawa recently and since we weren't in possession of the marriage certificate at the time of our application, we included a letter stating that we would send it in as soon as we have it.

Now I was just getting ready to send it in and when looking for the address I came up with this:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/ottawa.asp#faq

Point 5 of the FAQs says this:

I need to send documents that are part of the application process. Where do I send them?

Scan and e-mail documents (other than police certificates) to: CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca

Send original Police Certificates to:

Case Processing Centre – Ottawa
219 Laurier Avenue West, 7th floor, section B
Ottawa, Ontario K1A 1L1
Canada
So this sounds like I dont even need to send a physical copy of the marriage certificate and I can just mail it. Is this correct? Does anybody here have experience with this? We didn't want to wait until they ask us for it since it would slow down the process. But when they normally ask, do they just ask for a scan of it?

For things an original document was not requested (police certificate I think was the only thing that had to be original), we scanned it and had it certified by Service Canada (you need to bring the original with you, regardless of where you do it), but it can also be done by a notary or anyone who is able to do certified true copies. We got this information about a day or so before we submitted our application, it's buried somewhere in the documentation guide and I'm lucky I found it and we were able to see someone in time.
