Hi,

I would be sending the application for PR through spousal sponsorship to Mississauga office. As me and my husband both live in Canada we wanted to apply for outside Canada i.e Buffalo office. NY. As the buffalo office is closed and all the old and new applications will be processed in CPP-Ottawa.

Now the question when going for a medical examination what should i fill in Appendix C that which Visa office** that will be processing the file would be it Mississauga or CPP- O?
Second question is that i still use the appendix C form while going to doctor or should i be using any other form?

Yes, choose Ottawa. The medical results go to the RMO in North America which is Ottawa anyway. And yes, Appendix C for the medical.

I wonder...what would happen if you sent your application directly to CIC-O instead of CIC-M? I mean, if you did it on purpose because the processing times at CIC-O seem to be a lot faster. Would they send it back or send it to CIC-M?

cic-o has specific tasks... although a clever thought... but it won't work... cic-o only takes some files from cic-m to help them out randomly here or there (for now only, dont know if this will continue in future)... but sending a file to cic-o directly will most likely cause your file to bounce back to you or be re-routed to cic-m and i wouldnt want to take that route personally... send it to cic-m and hope that they send it in a batch to cic-o (if they are still doing that)...

the complete package must go to CIC Mississauga....sponsor/applicant/proof...etc. they will forward the applicant's application to the correct VO once sponsor has been approved.

US applicants file will go to mississauga first and then to VO which these days is Ottawa. so they can themselves sort it out

Hahaa. My weekDAYS are about to consist of that. I spent part of today tracking down where to get my photos. I found a place with no reservations about the specifications, and they were cooperative and nice. Rare combo. Except it's an hour and half away. I had to travel 5 hours for my medical last week.
Yeah..I'm about to go grab a beer. ;D

Not always the case. In some instances (my own for example) they will go to LA FROM Ottawa.

So correct me if I am wrong but when the form asks us for our processing center it is CPP-O but we mail it to Mississauga anyways?
I am applying from the states to, i thought all this CPP stuff were so confusing too
