Oh..sorry. :) Just reply to the one they sent. Ottawa is: ottpilot-immigration@cic.gc.ca They told me to make sure to include the full names, dates of birth, and file and UCI numbers of applicants and sponsors when I send anything. I included my file number in the subject line, too along with...

I printed then scanned anything that wasn't an image file or other document. Letters, emails, etc. were printed. Passport was sent a jpeg.

Thank you. We've figured out what we need to do. She has had no social assiatance, and will have full-time hours in May. I have a job offer already, and she has another job offer. We have some savings, I have a degree and have held the same job for 10 years. We can stay with her parents if...

Thank you... that's what we understood, but so much seems contradictory. And the email I got was just..well..weird. :/ And I now need a drink.

Hers was/is, too. But they approved her as my sponsor. Now I'm trying to figure out if we now ALSO have to prove she makes the minimum amount given on the sponsorship chart to support three people. Right now, she doesn't. Does anybody know, if we've already gotten this far, if we have to now...

I spent all last night translating legal BS. I think that when one is approved as a sponsor, which has no financial requirement, they never consider or pass onto the applicant's visa office any of that information. We only included my wife's financial info in her sponsorship application. I...

frankinto and chickie, I agree. We're going to bombard them with proof we're not indigent. If there is no financial requirement for sponsorship, and she's a Canadian citizen living and working in Canada, approved already as my sponsor, I think this officer is just kind of being a butthead. We...

She's living with her parents and working part-time because she has a three-year-old (my stepson). I've stayed in the US working full-time. We're going to get a place once we know I have COPR, so I guess they're making sure we have a plan at all? They approved her as my sponsor, so I find this...

This site seems to be useful..I can't say for sure as I haven't yet crossed a border (aside from flying). Just thought I'd share in case it helps anybody. :) If I end up driving all my stuff there, I'll have to time it right so I'm not stuck in awful traffic and waiting for an agent. The one I'd...

Thank you :) That's what I thought, but..the more I read and the longer I wait, stuff just becomes confusing. This all may drive me to drink. Or..drink MORE.

Ok..all this talk of borders and landing has led me to ask this queation, which may be a stupid one: Do I have to go to the actual border to land, or can I just fly where I'm moving and do it at the airport via security? Once I fly there, do I have to drive to the border??

    US outland applicants' thread :)

I am doing the same thing. Moving at all is frustrating enough. It'll be weird walking some and relying on public transit for a bit, but I figure more walking can be incorporated into marathon training. :)

We should all have t-shirts made. That on the front, and on the back a big maple leaf with a question mark in the middle.

I can log in with mine or my wife's. I have to use the UCI for hers, and mine only accepts the application file number. I have NO idea why that would be. Hers says "Decision Made," I'm assuming because she was approved as my sponsor. Mine says, eternally, "Application Received" and "Medicals...
