Hello guys ,
I received an email as well from Port of Spain asking for additional documents and to pay Right of Permanent Residence.

Hi guys,
Our Member of Parliament office has informed us that Port of Spain office finished our file's selection stage and will ask us to send them next step requirements soon. The visa office seems to be working hard for us, folks. After 2 and a half year, our family's time will come shortly. Hope everyone will get the good news soon.
P/s: our file is fsw1 with indefinite job offer updated recently. I'll send you guys more info once we hear the news directly from Port of Spain.
Have a good Sunday,
saratracy

Hi Saratracy,

Congratulations!

I have the similar timeline as you and I also submitted my file early March, 2011 and got transferred to Port of Spain on April 24, 2013. But so far, I didn't receive any response from Port of Spain yet. It is almost 3 months since my file was transferred to Port of Spain. It seems that the strike didn't affect Port of Spain that much from the news that I have read. But I don't know why there is no response at all. It seems on this thread, no so many people received reply from Port of Spain. I have friend who applied in Jan., 2011 and his file was transferred to Port of Spain at the same time as us. He received notice for docs update, MR about 3 weeks ago. Really don't know what happened to us. Hopefully, we can get some response from Port of Spain soon. Friends on this thread, please update your status if you receive any response from Port of Spain.

Thanks and good luck to all of us.

Mike

Hi
application filed : Mar 2011
FSW with job offer
AOR : April 2011
File transferred to Ottawa : July 2012
File transferred to port of Spain : April 24, 2013
Medical request : not yet

I have a friend who applied the same date as mine and file transferred to Port of Spain on April 24 , 2013 got email from them this morning July 9, 9 am. Medical request, & RPRF etc .
She has a family , noc code 6211 ( food SVC Supvsr ) with job offer. She was so happy to get a response from visa office after 2 1/2 years.

I was wandering I have no email yet from port of Spain. Our AOR, Noc code ,same employer with job offer are both the same. I have no dependent, she applied with dependents. kinda weird.. Do they process application randomly ? So unfair..

this is just to give you information . I am a follower of this forum.

Congrats to both PHILCAD and cecdec2012.

Both of you are FSW2 (with job offer) :)

No good news for FSW1 :(

Your are also with job offer aka FSW2. So basically all of the people getting good news so far are with job offer...

yup I have arranged employment. Still working with same employer since 2008. But they're asking me to update reference letter with job offer. Thanks for all the wishes. Your turn will come soon. We have diff visa officers so processing time are different.

Hello guys,
Thank you so much for your congratulations!!! If the wait is too long for some of you, I think asking your Member of Parliament to ask about file status is a good idea . We have just done medical exams today and will send the required documents to the visa office this week. I'll keep you guys posted when receiving feedback from Port of Spain.
Hope all of us will receive good news soon.
Thanks and cheers,
saratracy

Hi,

Congrats to all who got their MR or PPR and good luck to rest who are waiting; I am sure you will get the good news soon :)

People who got MR or PPR request; was the FBI clearance required as one of the documents? Also how long does it take? Did anyone hear back from OR already got the clearance from FBI?

Thanks in advance :D

[/quote hi philcad how did you do your updated certified criminal record check? Is that the local RCMP police certificate only. Am confused . How long does it take to process crminal record check .

Hi there,
Nope, FBI clearance and home country police check are not required in our case. We haven't been back to the USA and just paid a short visit of about two weeks in our home country since we came to Canada:)
