I am also in the same boat. I applied on Mar 6th, 2011, CIO recvd it on Mar 9th, 2011. RBVO since April 6th, 2011 when my file was transfered to Buffalo VO. It was then transfered to CPP-Ottawa in June 2012, and on April 24th, 2013 transfered again to Post of Spain. No changes on ECAS, but I recvd an email from CIC. Not sure if we should be happy or sad, it has already been over 2 years, as all of us on this forum.

I just hope this is dealt with not sure if it will be soon.

I also just received the same email from CIC that my application has been transferred to Port of Spain. I applied with a job offer (I think that's FSW2?) in March 2011, received an acknowledgment letter in April 2011 and my application has been stuck in RBVO since then. Still waiting for the requests for Meds. I have been working in Canada with a work permit for 3.5 years now. Can't wait for this PR process to be over. It's been a very long and frustrating journey

Just got the same email from Ott-pilot that my application has been transferred to port of Spain. And that port of Spain will communicate with me in the next two month. According to the email the application was transferred on 24th of April.
My application was received at CIO on 24th of March 2011
AOR received on 20th of April 2011.
I am fsw-1,Noc 3112

I am much later than you.. but an MI-2...haven't heard anything from any of these 'new' visa offices either..

I applied in March 2011 and my time line is on left but I haven't got any news from Ottawa.

Can you please let us know when your application was transferred to Port of Spain. We get an idea of many weeks/months/years it will take to receive medical request after transfer of our applications to port of spain . I had applied for PR based on FSW class in Feb 2011 and got acknowledgment by March 2011. My file was transferred to Port of Spain in April 2013.
I am waiting eagerly for next step.

Me too...got a similar email from Ott-pilot that my application has been transferred to port of Spain...

Here are my case details:
FSW1
Applied in: March 2011
Medical Requested: Feb 2013
Medical Done: Mar 2013
PPR: waiting...who knows how long it might take

I have no idea if this is good OR bad but I need to forget about it as I was optimistic but now who knows how long it might take ...

FYI…My MR was requested by Ottawa before the transfer (my guess is that all the cases were transferred to Port of Spain on April 24 from Ottawa for FSW 1 & 2).

Everyone: please keep us updated, incase you get any updates from the Port of Spain VO.

EVERYBODY HERE PLS READ!!!


It's going to be 2 month next week Monday since our applications were transferred to Port of Spain. None of us on this forum is yet to receive anything from that visa office as of today. I'll definitely email the visa office on Tuesday the 25th if nothing is heard from them by then. I think if we can all bombard port of Spain with application status request emails from next week, trust me they will start working on our cases. From my findings by way of reading thru the whole of family class tread for port of Spain on this forum, I discovered that Port of Spain such a sluggish visa office that always claimed to be understaff in such that one will have to consistently email them severally to hear back from them. I will without fail email them on Tuesday the 25th.If someone else from here can do that on 26th and another on 27th and another on 28th and several others thereafter, they will definitely start getting back to us. If you guys agree with this game plan, then let discuss about who will email when. But if you all think this doesn't make sense,then just overlook this post

I guess on 25th you should first email Ottawa and ask and request them to check why Port of Spain VO didn’t send you any updates and I can do the same and then later email Port of Spain VO b/c they will only bother it Ottawa questions them.

When exactly did they put your application in process this June?

I have similar timeline as you. But I am a FSW1 applicant without a job offer. Hopefully, we can all have some good news from Port of Spain soon.

RBVO on 05/05/2011 (Buffalo)
Transferred to Ottawa July 2012 (Ottawa)
Transferred to Port of Spain April 24, 2013 (email notice received on May 07, 2013) (Ottawa)
Waiting for next step now......

Email to Port of Spain June 20 to check status, but just got automatic reply. Nothing specific. Saying will response within a few weeks.

It seems that Port of Spain is still working on our cases, hopefully.

I have been following this forum for more than 2 yrs now. Going through the forum,it looks like most of March2011 applicants are transferred to Port of Spain.I also emailed visa office at Port of Spain and got a reply saying that my file is in a queue to be reviewed. Please let's keep this thread going so we all be have an idea in what time frame we will start getting a medical request and rest of the documents.
