I completed more than 1150 days in Canada . Then I moved to USA for Job relocation. I applied citizenship application from USA , I satisfy all the criteria for citizenship. My correspondence address is USA in Citizenship application.

CPCS emailed me saying"As we cannot proceed without a Canadian address to assign your file to an office, please complete the attached withdrawal forms for each person on your file and we will be happy to refund your fees. ".

I have followed the below published FAQ. It has been confirmed that for the US , mail would be sent to the US address. The citizen application process would continue while I am away from Canada as long as I meet the criteria.

has anyone been in this situation before? Any thoughts or feedback.

People in the forum have received their citizenship even while not residing in Canada. They likely used their last Canadian address for correspondence, which determines the processing office for their application. Typically, the only time you receive mail is if your application is rejected; all other communications occur via email.

Thus, including a Canadian address in your application serves a symbolic purpose.
