Hi everyone,

My application status changed to “application received” again after being “in process” for almost 15 days. It was changed to “in process” on 2 March 2020. Today it changed to “ application received”

My VO is Ottawa
Application received at Ottawa 8 Dec 2020
Anyone know whats happening?

Same thing with me dear . My application was received on 10 dec 2020 . Exact same thing happened with me .

Can you please call IRCC and ask them where they moved your application because i just called them and they told me that your application is going to another VO from Ottawa. They did not told me that where my application is going. You may call them and ask and please let us know here what they said

I cannt call them directly . I guess so , bcz I have hired a lawyer . She do everything for me but , if they move the application from ottawa to another VO . They must send an official letter saying so . IRCC doesn't just move your application without giving any official notice .

You can still call. Or get your lawyer to do it

I just checked my ec
I just checked my ecas status. It has also been changed to "application received," again.
Earlier it changed to "application received" on 23rd feb2021 nd then updated to "in process" on 2nd March 2021.
Please if anybody knows about this situation, let us know ..

I just called immigration canada, they told me that your application is still in Ottawa and will be moving to the nearest VO of PA country. They have not told which VO application is going, also they told me that they do not process outland application here in Ottawa. They process at nearest VO of PA

Probably it changed to application received because they did the transfer already? Whoooa. Do you think it is okay to contact MP again with this matter?

I don't think that's necessarily true for every outland case. By your posts you haven't received DM yet (correct me if I'm wrong) so the information given would at best only be applied to yourself.

Other Outland applications have got DM (some in the last week or 2) and been passed off to local VOs just fine - but for one reason or another certain applications with DM are going nowhere.

I tried to call them just now but couldn't even get to an agent cause its to busy

We've actually had this doubt about Ottawa. That it was enabled only to process the backlog of applications due to the pandemic, and that was all the agents were trained for. Now that all VOs have opened up, they may be moving the priority back to them. It would also explain their ineptitude with sending PPR in a timely manner.

So what about those who got DM from Ottawa VO? Will they receive PPR from Ottawa or application will be forwarded somewhere else?

How's that possible ? Bcz they have already processed 1000 of applications .

The obvious and likely answer is that the person on the phone had incorrect information.

Yeah. That’s what I was thinking. They have sent PPRs on 31st December 2020 as well. If they’re not working on outland applications,those who got DM from Ottawa in 3 months, how will they get PPR then?

same thing happen with me as well.don’t know what’s going on. It’s kind of frustrating

Yupp! Thats possible . Or may be they are bothered too much because people call them alot .
