Hello all!

We are close to finishing our application, and I am looking at the address for sending the papers, but I noticed that CPC-Buffalo has recently closed.

I read around the forums and gathered that I am suppose to send it to CPC-Mississauga now, and they will forward it to Ottawa for processing. Is that correct?

So if I send it to CPC-M will that make the application inland (I'm assuming no because the paperwork are outland ones)? Or is Ottawa now processing all the outland application?

If it helps, I am sponsoring my husband who is a US citizen that is currently living with me in Toronto. I'd greatly appreciate an answer. Thanks in advance!

No, CIC-M is Outland, CIC-V in Alberta is inland :)

From what I understand (and I have been getting confusing information from CIC-O) that the file will first be at CIC-M for sponsor approval then CIC-O for applicant with some help with a US VO. I know that sounds confusing but that's what I'm being told! So. You send it to CIC-M and pick Ottawa as your VO :) (If you want to pick a US VO you can, but it will go to Ottawa)

parker is right.. you send your application to CIC-M, and Ottawa is the current processing centre for US applicants.

They are currently processing sponsor applications in both Mississauga and Ottawa, and it seems like luck of the draw where any particular application is processed. My approval came from Ottawa, so I'm hoping my file transfer was only down the hall :P

lots of confusion for people applying outland.whose VO is america
Ottawa or Buffalo or LA
lol
mine went to Ottawa as well.
as they have distributed their workload i hope they start working on those applications soon
and hope they will finish them soon too

Thanks for the explanation guys! That was really helpful. I was already confused about the process so this new change didn't exactly help. ???
