The whole point of receiving written authorization to travel is to reunite with your extended family. Officers may wonder why you are not reuniting with them and moving to another province. Do your quarantine in Vancouver and then go to Alberta. Are you even planning on going to Vancouver.

Paid hotel quarantine is likely going to be put into place soon so you may not have a choice of where you quarantine.

Looking at the New Zealand paid quarantine website, here is what one can expect:

Cost per person: $3000 for the 14 days total ($900 per additional person)
Food will be brought to you, dont expect much attention to dietary restrictons
Internet speed: 1Mbps (I would buy a 4g internet stick beforehand)
Laundry services provided

To my opinion, changing province is not a good idea. I would say thats quite a risk right there, but thats just my opinion. Keep us posted how it goes when you get here.

Really depends on how nice CBSA is. Technically you should be arriving as a visitor and then will need to apply for virtual landing within Canada. We have seen some people be able to land as a PR in similar situation to you but we have seen others land as visitors and need to apply for inland virtual landing.

Hello,

I have a Canadian PR and been residing in Canada for over a year now. My then fiance had applied for her TRV from India in July 2020, the application is still pending because VFS are closed in India.

We are now planning to update her TRV under "Immediate family member" as family reunification, with supporting documents to show strong ties to India and willingness to immigrate through the right channels (Spousal PR).

My question is -

I am now writing an email to IRCC.COVID-TravelExemptions-Exemptionsdevoyage-COVID.IRCC@cic.gc.ca
Besides all the necessary information in the body of the email, what documents do i need to attach to the email? I am planning to attach our marriage certificate and my PR card as proof that I have a PR and she is my wife = her being eligible to travel to Canada.
Hey @sarvesh90 I'm on a similar boat like you. I'm a PR holder residing in Canada since almost 2 years now. My fiancé applied for her TRV in July 2020 and got the BIL the next day. Since then VFS in India is closed for visitors. We later got married in November. I emailed IRCC in November to prioritize the application, I attached marriage certificate and my PR. However I only received a new BIL letter in the account after a week that's it. I guess we need to give the biometrics (closed for visitors in India) at a different location and e-mail them again. I'm planning to do that. Did you email them yet? Did your wife complete her biometrics? What's the current status?

Hey!

Yeah we went to Dubai after our wedding to submit biometrics and the visa was denied on Dec 15. Good luck to you, hopefully you get better news :(
