COVID-19, VAC is Closed - Need to Submit Requirements

Hi Guys!

I need my biometrics submitted and the due date is April 5, 2020 as posted on my account. Due to the current situation, VAC in Manila is closed. I wonder if IRCC will extend the deadline or give me more time? :/

I would suggest you to create an application over this web form so that in future if you pass your deadline you would be having something in hand that you can show for reference.

I just submitted them a webform (as I’m having the same problems) and In got this in response:

Dear Madam,

Given the measures announced by the Government of Canada on March 16, 2020, all deadlines for the collection of biometrics, submission of passports, etc., will be extended indefinitely.

"Please note that the biometric instruction letter (BIL) cannot be amended and will continue to advise applicants that they have 30 days from the date of the letter to give their biometrics. Officers should still allow 90 days for the applicant to provide their biometrics, despite the 30-day timeline identified in the BIL. "
