If you want to defer you need to email them and request a deferral leter. Or find out what are their other option. You may be given an option to start classes online like me.

Think that there is a high likelihood that many schools will close admission to international students for this May. There are just too many complications. Many will not get their permits in time and it will create a large influx of people from all over the world who may import covid once again. It is much harder to quarantine students who are unlikely to already have their own home to quarantine for 14 days straight from the airport. Most will not have a rental sorted out before arrival and most will be sharing with other students which will likely mean sharing rooms, kitchen, bathroom, etc.

But what about yout Post study work permit... For that, you need to stay in canada which you will not if you take up classes online and the fees you are paying is for practical classes so the fees won't justify then...

Online will count towards PGWP during covid 19

I think There is no benefit to go canada at this time because the cases are shooting up dere moreover 14 days isolation is mandate and online classes seems to be no benefits for us...I defer my may intake in Sept...

If courses are still going on online the chances of being able to fly into Canada is likely not great. If a student is depending on finding a part-time job they should defer until school returns to normal and so does the country. Even renting a place to live and getting furniture and basics will be difficult if we are still in lockdown or semi-lockdown. Would encourage most to defer until things are back to normal. Not all classes can be done online so that may also create problems.

Would make sure you update CIC about your new start date if you haven’t already. Probably for the best. Hopefully things will back to a new normal in September.

You can only attend online class if you're already in canada that's what i heard from consultancies
The new announcement is that you can remain in your home country for up to half of the semester. I am not sure how you can actually guarantee that you’ll be able to move to Canada mid/end June to ensure you can do the rest of your online classes in Canada. The other issue is not all courses are easily taught online.

It's not half the semester. It's up to 50% of your program can be completed in a country outside Canada. If you do this, you can still get full PGWP
