Subject: Application for Temporary Resident Visa of Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) Holder
Dear Sir/ Madam,
My Post-Graduation Work Permit has been approved and now I wish to apply for a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) to be able to re-enter Canada and work for the duration of my Work Permit. Enclosed, is a copy of the Post-Graduation Work Permit.
Please see the last page for the list of enclosures and documents, I have attached with the application.
Introduction: I am a Social Policy Analyst with an extensive experience managing Client Relationships, Stakeholder Engagement and Project Design and Implementation for various non-profits in India and Canada. I’m currently associated with a for-profit social enterprise based in India (company name) and found by a Stanford- Alumnus. As an Engagement Associate, my job profile entails engaging implementing partners and funders in designing projects to achieve last mile connectivity. My current assignments include the likes of Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation grant and UNICEF Maternal and Child Health Project in India.
Historical Background for Application:
I was granted a study permit to support my Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at the prestigious University of Calgary, in August 2014.This study permit was valid until August 2015, prior to which I applied for an extension of my study permit and got one with validity expiring in December 2015. After completion of my MPP in October 2015, I applied for my Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) in the same month. Since I did not hear back from CIC until November, and the processing times shot up to 130 days for online applications, I took it in my best interest to travel back home to India to avoid staying back in Canada after my expected status expiry in December 2015. A sudden demise in the family (my grandmother-in-law) made the decision strong and I came back to India in November 2015.
I received my PGWP in March 2016. Now that I am legally entitled to work in Canada and have also settled things back home, I am planning coming back to Canada and exploring job opportunities there.
Purpose: The purpose of coming back to Canada is to work there as I hold the valid Post Graduation Work Permit for the duration of 3 years. I already have 3.5 years of professional work experience in Non-Profit Management, Client Relationship Management, Research & Documentation and Public Policy Analysis. Also I hold a Degree of Masters of Public Policy (MPP) from University of Calgary. As per my education and experience, I want to enhance my skills and explore my job opportunities in Canada. The work experience of Canada will be much helpful once I’m back in India and I’ll be valued by employers here and in Canada.
Funds available: According to my earnings and saving I have sufficient funds in my current bank account for my expenses in Canada. My last 6 months bank statement are attached showing the available funds for the last 6 months. Also I have attached all the copies of other investments and insurance policies.
Current Bank Account Balance: INR xxx equivalent to over $CAD xxx approx.
Term Deposit Receipt (TDR): INR xxx equivalent to $CAD xxx approx.
Public Provident Fund (PPF): INR xxx equivalent to $CAD xxx approx.
SBI Life Insurance Policy: INR xxxx equivalent to $CAD xxx approx.
Total Funds: CAD$ 10,000 approx.
I assure you that on completion of my permit, I will return back, and join the growing industry of India as I have strong ties in India (My Mother, Father, Husband, extended family members, in-laws). My Birth Certificate, Marriage certificate are attached as proof of evidence. Also I have taken my Life Insurance Policies as well as Medical policies in India (Proofs are attached). I also have PPF account in which I invest every year. I am also attaching my Income tax returns of last 2 years.
I really need your support and request you to encourage me and wish me good luck for my future.
I believe that the information I have provided is adequate and in detail, however if you have any query, please feel free to contact me on my given contact number or email address.
