Course withdrawn & is study permit still Valid?

Hello
I applied & got canadian student visa for jan 2013 intake(visa valid till march 2015). Unfortunately i withdrawn course(Diploma) & travelled back to india & i'm now working in saudi arabia(temporary resident visa). All i wanted to known is is my study permit still valid ? & can i apply to the same college & travel canada on the same course? Please reply on this issue. Will be really helpful.

Yes you can but you have to satify the officer at port of entry if you are asked question regarding this.

The officer can ask if you were enrolled in school last term or they can call the school to confirm. If you were not enrolled, you will need to provide a good compelling reason(truthfully ofcourse) or they could refuse you entry and put you on the next flight home.

I was enrolled for a diploma course in a college in toronto for jan'13 intake. Bt withdrawn course before its start. N nw i'm ready to apply for same course same college same intake in next year. Wht do yu say?

the standard procedure will be, as your visa is valid till march 2014 and i believe you must have taken the money (tuition fee back), you need to talk to the college and ask for admission. Now, don't even think about deferral letter from the college as this doesn't apply to your case any longer. Now, if you have admission to any SPP listed college/Uni, you can certianly enter Canada anytime before the visa expires. I would suggest you should push your case for September intake as the deadline is August1st for the visa. Secure admission in some college here and move... won't be much trouble at the entry. however, one thing I thought could also be an issue - your visa to Saudi... hm... you may have to satisfy the immigration officer with a damn strong reason for leaving....

My canada sp is valid till mar'15. I'm planning to go canada again in jan 2014 because i'm in saudi & on job. I mailed the same issue to cic- delhi & the replied asking me to submit passport for previous study permit cancellation & asked me to re apply a new study permit. What do yu think on this? What do yu think i should give the reason to vo upon arriving?

if you are going to reapply for study permit, then somehow I have a feeling it will be difficult to obtain a visa. Well this is what I think is the best move... I would first secure admission to the same college, pay the fee and once I have the unconditional letter... I will take my chances to land directly.... and even if Immigration officer asks questions, I will still have a valid study permit and I will also have valid admission to the same college. Now, I may have to satisfy immigration officer about cancelling my trip and going to Saudi... well did u go on a work permit or a tourist visa to saudi... if you went on a tourist visa, I don't think there will be much trouble...however, if you went on work permit... oops... he can make you dance... anyway... hope u got the message... now also just out of curiosity, what the heck you are doing brother... why did you move to saudi after getting Canadian visa...then if oyu did go to Saudi, why do u wana come back... isn't it good in saudi... well you don't really have to answer my last question if you don't feel comfortable answering... i just asked out of curiosity.

Thanks for the reply! 1 thing is troubling me.. Wen i applied for course refund & withdrawl i signed a paper which was notice to cic about my course withdrawl bt i'm nt sure wheather it also stated study permit cancellation in it.
& yes bro! I'm working here.. It is kinda visa which is 90days visit bt converted into work permit. I'm nt sure what i'l answer vo on this. Saudi is 1 dumb ass country! I hate it!

I tried applying my case over wizard in cic,gc,ca. It asked me to gather trv(IMM5257) appliation, family info application, previous study permit letter i got with my passport after visa grant(i have it), NEXT TERM COLLEGE ACCEPTANCE LETTER & its fee receipt, financial documents, edu certificates & apply for the visa.

Get a new offer letter for sept,2013 and fly to Canada.
VO will definitely ask you the reason,
So just say my Uncle in Saudi was sick.
So i had to rush to India. And then with my parents to Saudi to meet my uncle.

You won't get visa if you re-apply.
Give a try.

Does the stamp on passport say anything about working ?
If not, then you're good to go
