Hi Guys,

I am looking for next year intake 2013-14.

Profile :

B.Tech in Electronics ( 74 % )

Work Experience - 2 Years in IT as Assistant Systems Engineer

I am having tight Budget so Request all the Experts / Current enrolled Students to please guide me effectively regarding the selection of courses :

Options shortlisted :

1. MBA from VIU ( 16 months ) -I know its low grade but Is it really that bad and not worthy of the money ?? ( As I will be paying around 20 lac of only Tuition fees for 2 year )

2. Two- year of PG Diploma in "Business studies" from VIU .

3. Any other PG Diploma in Business related stream for 2 year Duration - Have heard of "GBM" from Humber , Centennial , Lambton but not sure whether I should go for it or not as the review are not up to the mark

Note:

> I am also looking for PR ( to be frank ! ) and that is why I am not mentioning 1 year of PG Dip. courses where I will just get 1 year of Work permit and to get Positive LMO after getting skilled Job along with Arranged Employment and thus extending the work-permit to file for PR afterwards is not a cakewalk. Earlier I was pretty much intrested for 1 year PG but not sure now :(

> As IT related Jobs are not in the 29 shortlisted Occupations for PR under FSW so i am not looking for IT related subjects to pursue. I hope getting a PG Diploma in Business related stream wont cause hindrance ( Being a graduate from Non- Business Background ) . Correct me if I am wrong.

Please provide your valuable suggestions.

Bro, Go for Memorial University of Newfoundland. I'm going their for undergrad engineering this year and the tutions are the most affordable among the universities in canada cause Newfoundland provincial government subsidy the tution on behalf of the international students cause they want more international studnet to attract. and its the largest university in atlantic Canada and also the best one of it's province. So it will help your application. People with colleges get rejections very easily and if you have money then why not spent it in a right way. A good degree from a good institute will increase your possibility. There's no good to attend an institute which is the lower grade than those available in one's own country.

Go to : www.mun.ca and check their porgrams. Visas for province like NL and Nova scotia is higher than the other provinces.

2. Two- year of PG Diploma in "Business studies" from VIU . - I think it is 1 year in VIU. again better to enroll in college rather than VIU atleast for PG diploma in business.

3. Any other PG Diploma in Business related stream for 2 year Duration - Have heard of "GBM" from Humber , Centennial , Lambton but not sure whether I should go for it or not as the review are not up to the mark hi consider North Island college too. GBM 2 year with co-op

Note:

Earlier I was pretty much intrested for 1 year PG but not sure now :( - Absolutely Right.

It will not be problem for MBA. MBA is for all.

Please provide your valuable suggestions.
HI,
I am no more expert. I provided above information as best of my knowledge.

If you are considering MBA then checkout fees university of victoria. However admission in UOV is purely competitive based.

1> Any Specific reasons for suggesting not to go for MBA from VIU. ??
(1) MBA from VIU is waste of time and money thats what I learnt from forum member enfield.

(2) Most reputed university in canada requires GMAt and meaning full work experience for entry in MBA where as VIU MBA waives GMAT. from that we can conclude that VIU wants students only and ofcourse 20 lack. We can Imagine the quality of education.

(3) Most reputed university requires work experience whereas VIU waives it too.It means VIU wants 20 lak and students..

(4)most reputed university requires atleast above 1st class grades whereas VIU will give you admission with above 55% as well it means VIU wants student and 20lak fees.

(5) even top notch MBA school's graduate are struggling for job thats what i learnt from forum member enfield. From that we can conclude that what would be the value of VIU MBA after graduating.

That's my perception toward VIU MBA, rest is upto you.

2> Any Idea about the 2 year of PG Diploma in Business from Community Colleges like Humber, centennial etc ??
