Hi,

I'm sponsoring my wife to move to Canada (we currently live in Sweden). She is Swedish but my kids are all Canadian citizens (passports in hand).

1. Does my wife need to list our kids as "accompanying dependents" if they are citizens already?

2. Neither of us will be working initially when we move to Canada. What sort of documentation do I need to have in order to show sufficient support for my wife? We have significant savings - is a simple bank statement printout or something similar suffice?

3. We plan to move next summer at some point. Do we need to tell them more precisely when we'll move or is it ok if she get's her Residency early next year to wait 3-5 months before we go?

thanks

1. No. But they'll be listed on the Additional Family Members form IMM 5406

2. That should be sufficient but I'll let others comment on that.

3. Your wife's COPR will have an expiry date of the earlier of either her 1 year anniversary date of her medical exam or the expiry date of her passport.
