If you have no other option (no possibility of returning to Canada and working more) and you really want to try to immigrate to Canada, it might be worth a try if you can get a SOLID letter of employment (all required details). But understand it would be a gamble and you might lose that application fee. For what it's worth, I would consider that to be one year, but I'm not a VO.
I think implied status are legal status so it should count.
