Hi all

I am currently applying for a spousal PR for my wife who is currently in India. As per the country specific requirements for India, if the birth of an individual is registered late the following documents are required; we have all the required documents except the "Voter ID". The voter ID is still under processing and it is over 2 months since we the application is in process. Do we wait for the voter ID to be received before we submit the application or is there a work around for this document? Greatly appreciate the support from anyone who has been in a similar situation?

If a birth is registered late, include a copy of the original baptism certificate and copies of other original documents establishing identity such as:
  • Old school records (Fifth class, Middle standard and Matriculation/secondary school certificate), and
  • Voter's ID card.
