They want the name, date of birth, and the signature of the applicants?

Hello!?

One of them is a two year old!

How should we handle this?

Dealing with a civilized country, one might suggest a reasonable solution - but reasonable solutions cannot be taken for granted in the Philippines!

Also, the two year old is smiling in in the pictures - will they let this slide?

These idiots also don't follow Canadian Immigration policy - when I was trying to get my son's Citizenship Certificate, one of the requirements was the original passport with the relevant entry stamp at the time of my son's conception.

No, problem, right?

But, when my wife attempted to submit the application they ALSO demanded my ORIGINAL current passport!?

Hello!?

I needed it to RETURN to Canada, DUH!

This was also NOT specified in their official requirements.

No Filipino should be allowed to work in the Canadian Embassy except, perhaps, as cleaning staff(that is, if the embassy is content with lazy and incompetent cleaning service).

It is the only way to ensure an adherence to Canadian immigration policies, and to protect OUR rights.

Oh I totally hear you (on yet another but related front). I always wondered how it would go IF:

You brought the child's birth certificate to Canada and applied for a passport at a Service Canada centre. Barring some sort of hindrance with the foreign birth certificate . . . Why not? If you know people coming and going from Philippines (that you trust with such an important document), it would be WAY faster than dealing with the (ahem) chosen ones you are referring to . . . and that's exactly what they are . . . "chosen".

I suppose I'll never find out, not from my own experience anyway.

Yes, I have all the requirements to apply for his Citizenship certificate, but since he must be included on his mother's application(and I don't want him to be separated from his mother), it seems rather pointless.

I am having problems because she has another child(from another father) who will be non-accompanying.

The problem is, the father is refusing to get her son the medical, and as I understand, CIC will INSIST that her non-accompanying son be medically examined.

So, more fun for me to look forward to.

This would not be a problem if they allowed us to leave non-accompanying children OFF the application - I was even ADVISED to do that, by CIC staff.

The only problem is, stupid Filipino Certificate of Live Birth indicates that this is my wife's second child, so any Pinoy looking to scrutinize our application for non-compliance(and if they are lalaki, they WILL be looking for ANY opportunity - it will make their day) will nail us on account of the discrepancy.

I am so sick of this.

More fun in the Philippines!
