Country or Territory where applying

I am currently abroad visiting another country (temporary work assignment).

I want to submit the application online, but will submit passport and fingerprints after arriving back at my home country.

For the country or Territory where applying do i need to mention the country i am currently in or can I say I am applying from country of residency since I am providing the fingerprints after returning home.

Others can comment as well but as you are on a temporary work assignment come business trip I would submit your application based on your permenant residence country. In applying online I guess the only thing to watch for is how quickly the application processes before you return home so you do not miss any deadlines whilst outside of your home country.

1. Processing of your application will not start until you give your biometrics.

2. You need to inform IRCC if you change your mailing address when your application is being processed.

3. You can submit your passport only after you get a passport request.... and not when you give your biometrics for an online application
