Country of issue- Spain European Union

Hi

Just wondering how you add "Country of Issue" of your passport.
My passport says Union Europea Espana

obviously in Spanish. Im not sure if I have to say Spain only?
European Union Spain?
Any advice?

"Spain" should be sufficient since Spain is the country of issue. But you could put European Union in brackets behind it if you wish. Either way should be fine.

Spain. The EU has no function in issuing your passport, its done at nation state level so only Spain is relevant just as for my application only the UK was relevant, even though my passport also says "European Union" on it.
