Hi,

I just got my ITA and in the section where I have to give information about my parents, there is a question asking about their country of birth. They were born in Yugoslavia, which doesn't exist anymore. After Yugoslavia fell apart, several countries were formed on the same territory (Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia etc.) When I use the drop down list I can find both Yugoslavia and Croatia.

Which one should I state? The "new" country or the "old" one?

Thanks

Put down Yugoslavia. Apparently it should not give issues if you put down the country that currently governs their place of birth (Croatia), but they're born where they're born, so Yugoslavia. It's up to CIC to figure things out.
