Countries can be traveled with Canadian PR without valid passport

Hi All,

Is there any way to travel outside Canada with Canadian PR card but without any valid passport?
I have PR card but my passport is expiring soon. I already applied for citizenship so don't want to waste money for renewing passport.

Any help with proper reference much appreciated.
