Am I able to start a private practice on a PGWP? I’d be running online services and running counselling sessions by renting space at a business centre. I know this won’t count as experience hours (I have a part time job as an employee for hours) but wondered if I can do this part time, too! Any insights?

You will need to count this towards your 20 allowed hours per week. Make sure you research if you need a license.

What “20 allowed hours” are you referring to? Sorry I have found this process quite confusing with what I’m allowed to do.

I guess she means 20 hours on study permit. I guess you are referring to working as self-employed on PGWP. I'm not too sure that it is possible, but you should send a webform inquiry to clarify

Yes. I missed the bit about the PGWP. So no need to worry about hours. Does not apply.

I did send a web form and their answer was super vague and didn’t answer my question :(

Then I think you can pursue it, but you need to have NOC and that's gonna be tough without an employer. But not impossible. Once again, try probably becoming self-employed
