couldnot attend my interview

Guys i have applied under federal invester category and my process started in Aug 2009,but in November the Canada high commission,London gave me an interview date for 7 Dec 2011 which i couldnot attend because i was out of Kuwait !
My lawyer informed the London visa office and asked for another interview date,but still no reply from them.
What i want to know is that has this happen with someone before,if yes than can you pls tell me how much time they take to give new interview date ?
