Hi all,

Applying for our parents' visitor visa. From 1 Dec 2011 the newly introduced Parent and Grandparents' Super visa (2 yrs stay at a stretch) comes into play. Can we still apply for the normal visa (the usual multiple entry 6 mths stay at a time) or from now on only this Super visa will hold good?

Secondly, due to this 2 yrs validity, medical tests have to be done. Could someone pls let us know what are all the tests that are conducted? or what kind of tests do they usually request for...........

Will be really grateful.......thanks in advance!

No medical tests are needed until you get indication from consulate to do so..they will send you forms and everything you need to do for parents.

It is unlikely that someone has had a medical specifically for the super visa yet.
Look at the details for the standard medical checks on the CIC web site or search the threads here.
