To be clear, I haven't received MR yet but I am doing some planning for when I do :-)

Can anyone tell me how much medical costs? I'm specifically looking at the drs in downtown Toronto - dr Taylor and the one on st Clair

Any help is much appreciated

it all depends on the Dr. The maximum u can pay is about $250 everything

the one on st clair charges $250 all in

Oh wow...I wasn't expecting it to be that much ??? Being in Toronto, I imagine it's on the high end of the scale too...

There's a good post with all costs and stuff involved in a PR application.

Sweet, thanks!

I'm in a bit of a financial pinch these days, so I'm glad someone put that together.

Good thing you don't have to pay all at once. But still, it adds up and is an expensive process.
Good luck!

O! No one can beat Saskatchewan (Saskatoon) prices. :'(

I paid 332.5 per person for MR.

Dr. =180
X-ray=80
Blood test=72.5

That’s not all! They take minimum 3 weeks to send the medical reports to CIC. Yes, it’s an e-medical enabled DMP but she says they have to get the blood test and radiologist reports form the provincial labs!!

Why does provincial lab takes so long to send the report? That's a good question!! ;D

Initially I though, probably it’s not an e-medical thing but Dr. told me, they do everything online, like attaching the results and sending all the docs etc.
Only good thing about being in Sask that, Dr. didn’t charge us for the “photos” (sarcasm)! :o

I coudn't agree more! But there is no alternative for being in Sask, there are 3 DMP's and all of them charge the same and take same time to send the report!

It's a one time investment. And also, applying for PR is a huge step and I wouldn't care about
paying $200 or $300 for medicals. What needs to be done, needs to be done.
