Hi again,

I've introduced myself in another topic but for some reason I'm not allowed to post hyper links. The title of the topic is:
Question: Can my spouse visit/stay in Canada while her PR app is in process?

This is more or less the situation..

Cheers

I personally cant say yes or no but from what i heard if and when she would come to port of entry in canada chances of getting a bisitor visa are slim since she has an application in process from outside canada. If you came here firstand did an inland the. She wouldnt have been able to leave the country until her app was finalized. And As for the "application received" from the onlinr status is tegarding your sponsor part. It said the same thing for me too. And btw that online status is soooo unreliable.ask anyone its oire confusing rather than anything else. What part if costa rica are you in? Reas

Reason i ask is for the postal code. I looked it up on google and went to the local correo ofice to confirm it was correct. But i strongly recommend you start email communication with them its so much more reliable. And if for some reason you dont have email you can always use the local correo office as your mailing address amd the correo offfice calls you when you have something for yourself there. Thats what we did when my family was sending me things from canada. That way mail wont get lost

We used to live in Real Cariari (across from Mall Cariari)
Right now we are staying in her mother's house in Cartago.

My wife already has a multiple TRV valid until 2018 which was issued to her before we applied for PR. So in theory she should be able to enter/exit Canada.. and we'll put that theory to the test. I'll report the results hopefully with a good news.

EDIT:/UPDATE
I contacted the Mexico Office via the web site but the confirmation message bellow isn't very encouraging either. I sort of understand that with all the enquiries they probably get:

Case Specific Enquiry

Your enquiry has been sent to the visa office processing your application. You should receive a reply within 28 working days (by email, regular mail or fax).

If your application is within normal processing times you may not receive a reply from the visa office.

If your message contains new information for your application (e.g. adding a newborn or change of address) your file will be updated but the visa office may not respond to your email.

Yeah then thats different if she has it from before. Everyone has a different story. And that is the general message they automatically send usually they reply around the 2 week mark. But if they dont at all the. It means your application is there you just have to wait. I have been in contact with my memer of parliment here in toronto and he said that even though the strike should not affect sponsorship applications the replies from the visa office might take longer. But i dont know what to believe they hve been replying to me in less than two weeks lately. Youre lucky you guys are close to san jose we were down south and then moved to san isidro perez zeledon and its a pain because DHL stopped delivering to houses because of the address issue and when you send your passport you have to get a "guia prepagada" from your choice of delivery company and you can only pay for it in san jose and whe they return your docs you have to go get it so my husbands not too happy with the constant 6 hr bus rides back and forth

Regarding the enquiry you email to mexico. WHen you sent your complete application package did you fill out the REPRESENTATIVE form and provided your information? If you didnt they will ask you to submit it before they can speak with you on behalf of your wifes application. I know its really silly since you're the sponsor but thats their rules. I sent one in and then they corresponded with me.

You might want to do that asap. And dont take me 100% but i think you have to send it to where you originally submitted the application, or to be safe send it to both

As for the further information they asked for i only did it since we were 18 because that came first. All i know that you cant miss out not even one day. You mentioned you did the 10 year mark so i know its a pain but do since 18 just do an excelspreadsheet to cover the rest. So they cant come back asking for it again. They will have one aice 18 and one for last 10 yrs. thats my suggestion.

Thanks a lot.

Very Helpful as usual: :) ..

I'll send a separate paper elaborating further on all information in sections 8 and 12 along with the IMM5669 form. Hopefully that would do it. I'll also make sure to include the postal code and hopefully that would help as well.
