Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Hi, I am heading for Toronto but I do not have any relatives and friends there. So I am wondering what would be the minimum cost of living in Toronto.
I need certain things that have to have there where I will be living such as Internet Connection, Separate Bathroom and bed room. And what would be the standard food cost? How much is the transportation cost?

Most of all I need to know the cost of living for a single Male person in Toronto with the above facilities included. What would be the minimum cost?

Thank you
God Bless you

i wonder over the monthly salary depicted in the feasibility. almost 3089 CAD after tax . unbelieveable.
it is not realistic, i have been there and despite of having dual master degrees one in business management/finance and other in agricultural sciences, i was unable to find a job more than 1900 CAD after tax. and thats too after 5 months of labor job at 9 CAD per hour.

I am a student and live in scarborough I spend $420 (includes all utilities and internet) on rent $50 on food weekly ( I eat 6 times a day since I work out at the gym) I spend $80 for cellphone, bus pass $104

I have been in Mississauga, Toronto for the past couple of months. I spend $1200 as rent for a one bedroom ground level apartment. I spend $150 on hydros. For my mobile, I am spending $45 a month, considering the fact that I have my own set. I am spending $150 on tv, Internet and home phone. On food, I need $500 per month (me and my wife). I have a SUV, with an insurance of $315 monthly and I spend $250 on petrol commuting to work. At a total of $2600 approx a month, you will need to land on a decent job to cope with such expenses.

With two degrees, a French speaker and a tech savvy guy, i can only break even right now! Many of my friends are struggling out there, at $13 an hour (most common pay rate).

Hope this helps.

Dude you are rich ;D

Toronto is a major international center for business and finance. Generally considered the financial capital of Canada, Toronto has a high concentration of banks and brokerage firms. The Toronto Stock Exchange is one of the world's largest. All of the Big Five banks of Canada are headquartered in Toronto, as are a majority of Canada's corporations.

Here are some tips and tricks to save money:

Drive with half tank of gas this way you arent carrying too much weight with full tank
Take third party liability for auto insurance instead of full coverage
Try having a vegetarian diet, meat is expensive
Do not donate money to charity, you can do other things for charity than just blindly giving them money.
Try sharing rooms, this way its much cheaper.
Eliminate alcohol and cigarette from your lifestyle, this way you'll save lots of money.
Shop from dollar store
