Hello,

I was advised in this forum that if i am applying inland for permanent residency and my (already extended) visitors visa will run out soon after i have sent out the application, I should apply for an open work permit together with my permanent residency application to get implied status.

Is the following form the correct one?
"IMM 5710E - Application to change conditions, extend my stay or remain in canada as a worker"

If yes, is it correct to tick both checkboxes for "an initial work permit" AND "temporary resident permit"?

Thank you!

That is the correct form. Only tick the `initial work permit' box.
Make sure to pay the full amount of $255 ($155 + $1000.

Thank you very much!

One more question:
On the CIC Website where the forms for the Open Work Permit are it is stated that the application should be send to Alberta.

But since i am including the OWP application with my Permanent Resident application i will send everything combined in one package to Missisauga, where the PR application goes, correct?

The Open Work Permit actually costs $255.00. Sponsorship fee costs $1040.

If you do not pay for the "open" section of the work permit you will have a closed work permit that limits your employer to one.
