Anyone heard from CSBA about softening their policy globally (not on a case by case basis) to account for the still occurring pandemic and give delay to move in before losing permanent residency status?

Of course not. The residency requirement is already extremely lenient at 2 out of 5 years and the pandemic is not a reason to spend 3 years outside of Canada.

IRCC has indicated there will be no changes to stay requirements due to COVID-19.

Permanent residents are exempt from the travel ban and can travel to Canada.
