I'm a US citizen sending my packet to my husband in Canada. Its asking for my US birth certificate for the Identity and Civil Status Documents Section...am I to send a copy of it? Its stating on my certificate that its illegal to reproduce it? What are others doing for this?

send a photocopy. it's not illegal to make photocopies of your birth certificate. it specifically states an original copy is not necessary for birth certificates. the only original copies that need to be in the application are the option c form and fbi record.moonandtheriver said:
