I have been a silent reader of various posts on Canadavisa.com and therefore I consider sharing my experience on landing at the Rainbow Bridge as my duty.

I went to the Rainbow bridge on Wednesday early morning and was able to reach there at 6:30. I reached out to one officer and told him that I am here to do my landing. He suggested me to cross the border at 8:00 am since the Canadian office will not start operations before 8:00 am. I, however, thought that I should cross the border at 7:30 so that I come back to Canada at around 8:00. I then waited for some time in Starbucks. I finally crossed the Bridge after paying one dollar and started walking toward the US on foot at 7:30. Do not forget to take four 25 cents coins with you to make the payment. The bridge was hardly 500 meters and When I reached on the US side, they could guess that I am here for the flag-poling. They gave me the flag-poling letter and I then proceeded towards the Canadian side.

The Canadian Border starts operation at 8:00 am. So I spent some time on the bridge looking at the Niagra falls for the first time in my life. I then finally proceeded towards the Canadian side and told them that I am here for doing my landing. I was the first in the line to do the landing. They told me to wait for 5-10 minutes and asked me if I have my study permit with me. I was carrying my study permit and many other documents with me.

They called up my name and asked the statutory questions mentioned on the COPR and confirmed my address in Canada. They finally said congratulations and told me the number of years I need to stay in the country to maintain my status and that I will receive my PR card within 4-6 weeks.

They did not ask me for any other document or proof of fund. I was done by 8:30 am.

The letter was, in fact, a flagpoling letter. Flagpoling was mentioned in Bold on the letter I got from the US security officers.

did they mention anywhere officially or they just denied for entry
For the first year+ of CBSA's anti-immigration flagpoling program, they kept it a secret from the public. In August 2018, they finally mentioned it on their website. But it looks like in November or December 2018, they're not officially mentioning it on their website anymore.
