Hello everyone!

I'm writing my experience here because I was not able to find answers to my queries in this forum. Also, most threads were 2-3 years old and I wanted to write a latest one so others may find it useful.

I'm sure mine isn't the first case so please write what happened to fellow applicants who were in similar situation.

I've read in some threads that suggest sending passports to India or to other countries via courier services etc which I don't think is the perfect solution. Here's what we did...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We submitted our application on 26/10/2017. To my surprise, we received a CoPR email on 17/11/2017. By then, my wife had moved to Malaysia for work. She lives there now.

We contacted IRCC through Case Specific Inquiry stating our situation and requesting that I submit my passport in India and she be allowed to submit hers in Malaysia.

On 30th November we received another email stating that we can submit our passports to visa office in Singapore. We did as requested, I submitted mine in India and she did in Malaysia.

We followed what had been advised by a consultant and also by IRCC.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now it has been 15 days since my passport submission and I'm waiting for it to be returned.

I'd also appreciate if anyone with similar case would tell us how long did High Commission in New Delhi took to put a stamp on your passport?

I hope to receive mine soon. I won't be able to visit her without my passport.

Hello @immeasur,
Do you received new email for passport submission at NDVO? or only one email indicating spouse passport submission?

Hello @immeasur,

Only one email indicating spouse passport submission. It was confusing for me too.

However, I had clearly mentioned in case specific query that I'll be submitting my passport to New Delhi and requested to allow my wife to submit hers in Malaysia.
