Hello Guys,
Urgent!! Please Help !
My husband and I applied for PR. I am the primary applicant.
Submitted AOR - 17th April
Yet to receive the PR
Now my husband has plans for MS in US this Fall (August). he could need to fly on Aug 3rd. his visa interview is on July 13th( F1 Visa).
Now how would that impact my COPR? Can I submit only my passport for stamping? If he has F1 stamp on Passport before COPR, what impact would that have on his PR eligibility?
Thanking in anticipation!!

Hi,
From my understanding, your profile gets locked as soon as you accept the ITA.... You only have to verify information before ITA...... After you accept the ITA if any situation changes which you think CIC needs to know then inform them via the web form ( https://secure.cic.gc.ca/enquiries-renseignements/canada-case-cas-eng.aspx ) explaining the situation.
You can go anywhere and do anything after ITA.... But only inform them after everything is sure... After you receive your PPR just request the CIC to change the VO of your husband......
Everything else should be fine

Thanks for the brisk reply !
It's very nice to know that. Anyway since he will be quitting his job and now going to US for higher education on F1 visa, i have a couple of more questions.

A. Would this be considered as a change in profile ? And if yes, wouldn't CIC like to reopen the application and in that case i would have no extra information as employment years also did not change and educational qualification will also not change till 2 years. So in this deadlock, would they cancel the couple application of ours ?

B. When is the right time to intimate them about this change? As and when he resigns and leaves for higher ed. or when i receive the COPR then i can drop a mail to CIC, explaining these updates and requesting his VFS to be done from Ottawa or US.

What do you think is the best bet and do you think this is a very complicated change ?

Answer A. No it would not be considered change in profile... After ITA your profile will be locked and only things you claimed points for will be verified..... and they will not cancel your application

B. Right time will be after you receive COPR / PPR... after that send email to your VO to change the VO for your husband as he will be in US

Its not a complicated change at all.... Its very normal
