I have no idea where did they get that date

will this effect if and when I apply for citizenship..because my original entry was back in 2009 as student,
also the vo signed my copr as 6/4/2014 but on top mentioned ''became pr on 7/4/2014''

I donno wat to do now...pls help..this is even bigger issue now ...I am really tensed..!!

If you read the instructions that come with the COPR, it clearly states to inform CIC after you land to correct any errors that you encounter on the document. Mistakes on the COPR will NOT affect your citizenship if/when you become eligible to apply. That is quite a stretch.

I just double-checked to verify this.

When you are handed the "Information for Permanent Residents" document, it has a paragraph for "How and when to Change your Confirmation of Permanent Residence" which tells you to contact CIC to amend any inaccuracies in your CoPR.

Here is a link on CIC for this request but call the helpline to get more information:

NO! Don't go back. Please read what is provided by CIC on the link! It clearly tells you what you need to do.

No offence, but what kind of answer do you want?

What could be easier than filling out a form?

PEOPLE WIT SIMILAR SITUATION PLS HELP..WHAT YOU DID TO CORRECT IT/OR LEAVE IT AS IT IS?

PLS
Okay i faced the same situation my original date of entry is same as last entry date. After reading through a few threads here i came to conclusion that if you send your COPR back to ottawa for fixation they won't fix that particular date mistake and return you COPR as is. The only time they would correct the mistake if your name or DOB or country of citizenship or birth city is wrong. While doing my landing i informed Border officer that original entry date is wrong he told me not to worry about that only make sure your name, DOB and country of citizenship is right. So i guess that is not a big deal.I don't think that it would have any impact on our citizenship.

No i haven't. As i don not think it will have any impact on our future citizenship application. They should have the original entry date in their system. It has been a long and painful process to get PR and i want to enjoy the moment for now. Will ask lawyer later sometime if needs to be corrected will correct it. But for now "NO"

just called call centre...the agent told me the only way to correct it would be to send out those forms..he said even if I would pointed out the to the VO at the border, he/she may not've corrected it because its an official document....but the thing is it takes 6 months to do the amendment. ::) ::)
