hi guys,

Do you need the original of COPR or a photocopy for the Ceremony?
I found a COPR but without any color, it looks like a photocopy.

I don’t remeber if it’s the one CIC gave me at arrival or I made a photocopy later on?

thanks for your help!

If you are required to provide it, it must be the original. However, are you sure that you are required to present it?

No one asked for my COPR as well. PR card is important as they take it away from you when you get your Citizenship certificate. COPR is however required for your landed immigrant proof at the time of retirement and also if you from a country which does not allow dual citizenship as part of passport surrendering application (eg : India). You can get a copy from CIC.http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?qnum=045&top=12

I wasnt given the original COPR either. I received a copy. They only asked for my PR card at the oath ceremony.

You normally will not be asked for your CoPR. The only case where they may ask for it if they had some additional concerns with your application that came up after the interview.

If you mean at the original landing as a PR, the COPR is a two page document. Both of these pages are "original". One is the CBSA/IRCC copy and the other one is the client (you) copy. Check the area where it is signed and stamped. Those should be obviously "real" on the copy you retained.
