CoPR and Implied Status

Hello people!

I've searched on this forum but couldn't find the exact answer to my question.

I have been under implied status for the last few months with my work permit expired while waiting for my PR application decision.

Today I have finally received the Ready for Visa email and already mailed all that they asked me.

My doubt is simple: does my Implied Status ends after I receive the CoPR?

I ask because I need to know if I need to immediately proceed with my Landing after receiving CoPR to be able to continue working or if I can continue to work under my implied status until I do my Landing.

Thank you in advance.

On what basis do you have implied status? Applying for PR doesn't typically give you implied status.

Yeah, if your work permit expired unless you had applied for an extension, I don't think you should have continued working...

It does, because if you had assumed that applying for PR gave you implied status to continue working under an expired work permit, we'd be telling you that you had been illegally working.

Until you land OR until you get a decision on the BOWP, if it comes before you land, you have implied status. Once you land as a PR, you no longer need implied status to work. If you are refused the BOWP before you land as a PR, you're in a weird situation.

I don't think this really changes the answer to my question, but I applied for a Bowp
I believe you still have to do 'landing' to evoke your PR status. to my knowledge you would still be under implied status until you land and become a permanent resident. At least this was my impression.
