Thanks a lot - this is very helpful. I've submitted the web-form, now let's see if I hear back from them or they accept these medical. Btw, sorry if this has already been answered on the thread:
- How can one know if the medical has been accepted by IRCC or not? Do they update the status on the portal?
- I got my re-medical request via the portal and not email. Is there a way I can respond with an attachment to this message on the portal somehow? There's no option of uploading documents in the " uploaded document.." section

Do you know your VO? There r multiple ways to know this.

You can email your VO.

Also, get in touch with center that did your meds.. see if they can link the meds they did with your medical request.

Let us know what happens.

As far as I know, not all of them received acknowledgement. But still they have got their re-medical request.

Please feel free to correct me if anyone thinks this is not correct.

Hi everyone.
I got the "do you still want to immigrate to Canada" mail. I replied positively to it.
Later I realised that my daughter's passport is getting expired on Feb 2022. that means keeping the 6-month validity in mind, we have to travel before August.
Now i gave them the confirmation to send remedical request.
And as we all know , their response is delayed.
Now am worried that by the time medical is done & ppr request is sent and then they courier our passports back to us, it wil take a lot of time.
And her pp wil not be valid for 6months then.
Am I overthinking? or do you think that maybe they will "re-assess" our details and will tell us what to do regarding her passport.
I think no issue. Even after doing Medicals (before receiving PPR) you may get fresh passport of your daughter and send to IRCC through webfarm. I think so.

My COPR is expiring on 30th may, should I raise a web form right now or I should wait as ircc email a month ago that we will contact you if your docs expired, pls suggest. Thanks
If your CoPR is issued before 18 March 2020, then you should try to land in Canada before its expiry.

I would recommend you to still go ahead and say Yes. After which you can indicate that you are pregnant. There definitely must be procedures for pregnant women. For example, yesterday I went for my re-medicals and my glucose level were a little high (thanks to the lockdown lifestyle :p). However, the doctor said we will check your 1st medical and if it was fine then, then we'll let you go. However, if it was high then and now, then we will recommend further investigation. They took this liberty since both medicals were done at the same center. I'm sure they can do something similar.

Please don't try to postpone. I am afraid they may permanently close your file (it did happen with me in 2004 and I am still wandering).
So please accept their option. say YES I want to immigrate and send them filled proforma within due date.

Hi @Jpsingh77 ! We are also in the same situation as yours. My daughter's passport is expiring in 9 months. Currently waiting for remedical request.
Could you please update us on how did you proceed with this.
Hi,

I‘m still trying to figure out the best way to deal with this, without risking any indefinite delay or radio-silence from IRCC.

I’m thinking of raising a webform to seek IRCC’s guidance, and getting the passport extended after the re-medicals. Subsequently I’ll share the latest passport details with them.

Hope this helps.

What are your plans?
All the best

That’s correct.
Even I didn’t receive any acknowledgment of my response to the “..still want to immigrate“ email.
After around 10 days or so, my account got updated, and a week or so after that I got the remedical request.

Do they only ask to redo the medical visit only, or do they also ask for new police certificates, proof of funds and recent photograph? Has anybody here reached the step after the medical visit (on the basis of the latest COPR renewal procedure)?

Can anyone clear my doubt.
Me and my family are exempted travelers. Pre March 18 expired Copr holder. Visa expired on June 2020. On March 10th 2021 we got a remedical request and it got updated on our profile on March 18th after that no movement in my profile. In case me my family gets a ppr request will we come under the exempted travelers? After getting again a new visa do we AL to travel?
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/immigration-applicants.html#expired

Based on above site, you would have newdocument and would be ok. So here is the part you may want read:
----------------------------------
If we approved your permanent residence application and we issued you a COPR on or before March 18, 2020, you’re exempt from the travel restrictions.

However, you can’t travel to Canada on expired documents. We’ll contact you (if we haven’t already) to ask you if you’re able to travel to Canada now, to live and settle here. After we receive your reply, we will respond to you within 4 weeks. Once we approve you to come to Canada, we’ll issue you the documents you need to travel.

To avoid delays, we ask that you don’t contact us via our Web form or through the processing office email. If you have already contacted us, we’ll look into your request, and provide you with instructions.
If your supporting documents have expired
If any of the below documents have expired, we may need you to give us new ones

  • medical exams
  • police certificates and
  • passports
If you need to update these documents, we’ll tell you when we contact you.

If you’re planning on coming temporarily and leaving again, for example, to look for a place to live, you can’t do that right now unless you meet a different travel exemption. Also:

  • you must follow the COVID-19 testing requirements that are now in place
  • when you arrive, you must have an acceptable plan to quarantine for 14 days in Canada, including how you will get to the place you’re staying
  • all family members included in the application should travel to Canada at the same time, if possible
  • you should have a confirmed travel plan, or you must be willing to book and confirm travel plans as soon as approved

They have only asked for the re-medicals so far...no update on any other doc requirements YET.
Anyone else has any different experience?
