Got it, I'll ask them if they didn't print new copr. I'm traveling evening to Vancouver. Anything else I need to be aware/wary of?
Hello Vivek, I am in US and planning to travel by road this weekend. Could you please share your experience here once landed. Thanks.

I have been trying to call them on the numbers available at the site but its coming busy always.
I read this somewhere, hope this will help -
Since you will be calling international, it’s best to get a virtual number or Skype subscription (there are trial subscriptions) and call from your laptop so that it doesn’t get disconnected easily. There are several instances of calls getting disconnected after a long wait.

Expect to be on hold for 3-4 hours as they are experiencing a very high number of calls.
I would suggest calling around 4-6pm EST.

This what all COPR holders are hoping since 1 year. If you have job and well settled in your home country then you should not stress much about this and loose your sleep. Things are very messy here also. Try under exemption and hope for the best.
I wish I have your positive thinking. Unfortunately, I received an email last June 2020 stating that my PR application was approved. That's why I resigned from my work thinking that I will receive the CoPR by December 2020 so that I can settle all my personal admins in my country. The CoPR never came. I have been waiting for the CoPR until now.

Okay. Thank you. I will try that too. But if incase I am not able to book it before I board the flight will there be any problem? We are trying or best to do it.

Hello!

Apologies if this is a repeat question. It's become a bit difficult to navigate this thread to get precise answers.

My CoPR expired in April last year. I decided to hold out on travelling to Canada till things settled/improved. In December I received a message from IRCC stating -

According to our records, you have indicated that you are now ready to travel to settle and live in Canada as a permanent resident.
I never indicated that. I told them I won't be able to travel using the form quite a while back. Anyways, it was also stated that if I don't respond to them in 10 days (or so), then that means I am not ready to travel at the moment. So, I didn't send them any message.

I then received another message asking me to get another medical done because the first one expired quite a while back. I will be getting that done this week.

My question is, once my medical gets done, will I be issued a "Travel authorization letter" automatically irrespective of my intent to not travel now? Given the 14-day required self-quarantine and the mandatory hotel stay, and the general fear of travelling even now (especially since I won't have a job there right away), I am not sure if I want to travel so soon and waste money.

Or will I have the option of waiting after my medical is done?

What do you all honestly suggest as well - to travel or not? I notice a lot of people are eager to travel and I am wondering if I am just being too paranoid about all this even after this past year.

Thank you!

Hi All,

We would be getting job offer in Information technology sector and we are holding valid COPR Visa Post March18. Need your below inputs with your experience pls.

Did anyone received AL with Job offer and Post March18 COPR?

Anyone travelled with Job offer plus Post March valid copr without AL?

Hey,
I need to clarify my doubt on behalf of my fiance. He got his COPR on December 8th,ofcourse cannot travel due to restrictions. Moreover he got PPR for his Work permit application on December 11th,went to VFS centre in Dubai but they didn’t accept his passport as he already got his COPR and gave a reason that we cannot give you wp visa as COPR itself says you can work.So its a dilemma that if he would travel and show an email at POE to CBSA officer with a valid job offer letter along with quarantine plan, what percentage of risk he can face at border ??As we decided to get married in February 2021,booked everything in prior(essential or non-essential)please enlighten my doubt!
Thanks in advance.
We are in same scenario. Did you got AL or travelled with job offer plus post March 18 COPR? Any update please?

I think there is no proper communication on how they will deal with this yet. The below article show what's the current situation and canada health has told in that thy will provide solutions on Monday.. not systematic:/

Hi All,

Hope all are well in these difficult times.

I am trying to book the 3 nights hotel accommodation but Unable to reach through the numbers on the government website. 3+ hours of wait times and still no connect with the agents. I am losing patience.

Can you book the 3 day hotel quarantine directly from the hotel website? It's cheaper also on the website. :)

You're right. But the thing we can't simply forget is that we're all on the verge of leaving our countries for good. I've sold almost 2/3 of my stuff. I've kinda psychologically emigrated already! LOL
Anyway, we can't do anything else just like what u mentioned.

Hi,

Both my wife and I were issued COPRs before 18th Mar 2020, however we were blessed with a baby in Jun 2020 and she got her COPR on 15th Feb 2021 along with re-stampings for us which is valid till Sep 2021 (Medicals expiry for us). I wanted to check if all 3 of us can travel together or only my wife and I are exempted considering my daughter would 'technically' come in post 18th Mar 2020 pool?
Hi could you please confirm the process you followed to add your baby to the process. Was it through the online account or through webform?
